Are you looking to meet new people and try something fun?
How about developing a new skill or taking on a new challenge?
Well if you answered yes to any of these things - then the Queensland Curling Association is for you!
The Queensland Curling Association has been up and running since January 2005 and membership is growing each year. The club meets each week at Ice World in Boondall (2304 Sandgate Road, Brisbane) where teams slide and sweep across the ice like nothing else seen in the state.
Curling is a fun, interactive team sport. It is open to all ages and anyone at all can play. No experience is required and club members are more than happy to welcome you and show you how to play and help improve your skills. Queensland Curling also provides all equipment needed - brooms, sliders, curling stones and of course the sheet of ice. All you need to do is turn up in something warm and with comfortable footwear (we recommend sneakers or running shoes).
So why not come along and have a go? Who knows the Olympics could be beckoning?
The Queensland Curling Association plays weekly each Wednesday night (8-10pm) from late March through early November. Cost is $25 per adult / $10 per junior (under 21) per session for casual curling. This cost includes all equipment and instruction.
Corporate & private nights are also available- please contact us for more details
Membership to the Queensland Curling Association is also available to those who want to show their support for one of Australia’s least known but fastest growing sports. There are 2 types of membership available, Playing (which allows entry into the competitions or casual curling) and Associate (for those who don’t wish to play but want to show their support).
It is great fun for the whole family! If you would like more information on playing or you would just like to come and watch(no cost), contact us on the above link for more information
So whether you have never played or are a pro, come along and have throw, you will be surprised!
